01 — "Overview"

Thrift stores price by category, not brand. That gap is your profit. Patagonia, Carhartt, vintage band tees and Arc'teryx regularly sell for 5–20x cost on Depop, eBay and Poshmark.

02 — "The Crash Course"

Step 01
Memorize a 'buy list' of 30 brands
Patagonia, Carhartt (vintage), Arc'teryx, Levi's big E, Harley-Davidson tees, vintage Nike, Ralph Lauren sport, Coogi, band/tour tees. Search eBay sold for each to know rough values.
Step 02
Learn tag dating
Single-stitch tees (pre-1995), 'Made in USA' tags, old logo tags. Vintage tags often mean 5–10x value.
Step 03
Hit the right stores at the right time
Goodwill Outlets (bins, priced by pound), restock days at local thrifts, and estate-heavy areas. Ask staff when racks are refilled.
Step 04
Use the 3x rule
Only buy if the item sells for at least 3x cost after fees. A $6 buy should sell for $18+ net.
Step 05
Clean, steam and measure
Wash, lint roll, steam wrinkles. Pit-to-pit and length measurements cut return requests dramatically.
Step 06
Photograph for clicks
Flat lay or on hanger against a plain wall, natural light, tag photo, flaw photo. First photo is 80% of the click.
Step 07
Crosslist and refresh
List on eBay, Depop, Poshmark and Mercari via Vendoo or List Perfectly. Send offers to 'likers' weekly and drop price 10% after 30 days.

$120 thrift haul (20 items) · average sale $32 · ~75% sell-through · minus ~15% fees = ~$290 profit per haul. Four hauls/month ≈ $1,100+.
