Mid-century modern, farmhouse, or solid-wood dressers. Dressers and nightstands sell fastest and are easiest to refinish.

Facebook Marketplace ('free', 'moving', 'must go'), Craigslist free section, estate sales on the last day, OfferUp. Buy solid wood only — check drawer joints (dovetail = good).

Budget the flip before buying
Buy price + materials (~$40–$80) + hours. Target $150+ profit and 3x your cost.

Prep properly
Clean with degreaser, fill gouges with wood filler, sand (80 → 120 → 220 grit), prime with shellac-based primer on old wood to stop bleed-through.

Finish with a signature look
Painted body with stained top, new brass or black hardware. Consistent style builds a following.
- Step 06
Stage and shoot
Style with a plant and lamp, shoot at golden hour, include measurements. Listings with staged photos sell 2x faster and higher.

Price and sell
Post on Marketplace in multiple local groups, price 10% above your floor for negotiation. Offer local delivery for $30–$50 extra.
